La Société canadienne d'écologie et d'évolution

- Michael Kasumovic (University of New South Wales): Young Investigator Award (American Society of Naturalists)
- Sally Otto (University of British Columbia): Guggenheim
- Louis Bernatchez (Université Laval): En reconnaissance du rôle de pionnier joué par Louis Bernatchez dans l’émergence de l’écologie moléculaire et de l’impact de ses travaux de recherche dans l’étude de la spéciation, la phylogéographie, la génomique des populations, la génétique de la conservation et de l’évolution appliquée, Louis Bernatchez a été récemment élu membre de la Société royale du Canada.

Dr. Kathy Martin received the 2008 Doris
Huestis Speirs Award at the joint annual meetings of
the Society of Canadian Ornithologists and the American
Ornithologists Union in Portland, Oregon. The award
is given to an individual who has made “outstanding
lifetime contributions in Canadian ornithology.” Her
work includes influential studies on the ecology, life history,
behaviour and conservation of birds in arctic and alpine,
